TOLL FREE 1-877-40-WATER

Most homes leave downspouts dumping roof water near the house. This causes water to pool next to the foundation and contributes to wet basement problems. In landscaped areas these downspouts wash away mulch and erode around foundation plantings.

Above ground extensions are not only unsightly, but need to be moved to mow the lawn.

The LawnScape underground downspout extension is hidden from view as it takes water from the downspout to an underground pipe and releases it away from the foundation to a “LawnScape Well”.

Keeping downspout water away from your foundation will help to prevent wet basements and damp walls.

While downspout water is not the only contributor to wet basement problems, there is no doubt that getting this water away from the foundation can help. The LawnScape downspout extension takes the downspout water underground into a PVC pipe. This pipe runs approximately 10 feet away from the foundation, and terminates at a LawnScape Well. The water runs through the pipe and into the LawnScape Well, which allows it to overflow onto the surface, but away from the foundation where it is less likely to saturate the soil around the foundation.

The Length of the LawnScape will vary based on the job conditions, but 10 feet is average. Americrawl can design the LawnScape extensions with a water proofing system for best results for your home.

Some disruption of your lawn can be expected to install the LawnScape, but once completed, the erosion near the foundation and unsightly above ground pipes are eliminated. Lawn mowers can be operated right over the LawnScape Wells without damaging them as they are down in the ground, much like a lawn sprinkler head. The LawnScape lid is easily removable to remove leaves or debris.

While LawnScape downspout extensions will not keep your basement dry by themselves, they are an excellent compliment to a basement waterproofing system and will also improve your homes appearance outside.
